Rheumatology

Prashant Parmar is a board certified physician in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He graduated with honors in biology from the University of Chicago and completed his medical school at the University of Oklahoma’s School for Community Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s / National Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colorado and trained in rheumatology at the University of Illinois – Chicago.

He is a published author in the fields of Immunology, Rheumatology, and Aerospace Medicine and is currently working with NASA’s Exploration Medical Capability team to determine the risks of human spaceflight. He is also avidly interested in the Immune system and has performed stand-up routines both about the Immune system as well as Spaceflight.

In his spare time, he practices aikido, piano and guitar, plays strategy board games with his wife, and repeatedly lets his dog into and out from the backyard each time the dog changes his mind.
